Wood Bowls

Here are some of the bowls I have been turning.


Local Mahogany 3 1/2" x 6" Saved from the landfill. SOLD

 

Local Mahogany 3 1/2 tall x 8 1/2 dia. Worm eaten wood, Top textured by chainsaw. SOLD

 


Sea Grape 3" x 7 1/4"

 




3 1/4" tall x 5 1/4" Dia. Mahogany SOLD





Acacia- Local tree that was killed by Hurricane Wilma but stood for 8 more years before it was cut down and offered as firewood on Craigslist. 7 1/4 Dia by about 3 1/2 deep.
Dade County Pine- Made from a piece of 2x6 that I pulled from the rubble of a demolished house. About 5 1/4 by 1 3/4. Sitting on a blank of the same wood. SOLD
White Oak- Offcut from a set of stairs.


This isn't the first bowl I have turned. But it is the first of this form. I had help from a video by Sam Angelo on his channel The Wyoming Woodturner.

  1. Those are really beautiful!! So wonderful you use re-purposed wood that would have been destroyed to make something so beautiful!
